The Bubbledeck System is a revolutionary method of eliminating concrete from the middle of a concrete flat slab dramatically reducing dead weight. The patented technique uses recycled plastic hollow ''bubbles'' as void formers to eliminate 35% of the slab's self-weight. Combining this technique with a flat slab construction spanning in two directions - the biaxial slab is connected directly to in-situ concrete columns without any beams - enables up to 50% longer spans between columns. The elements comprise of a top and a bottom reinforcement mesh joined together with vertical lattice girders. Crucially, the recycled plastic bubble void formers are trapped in place between the top and bottom mesh reinforcement to fix their optimum position at all times to maximise weight reduction.
