The Government of British Columbia created Forestry Innovation Investment (FII) in 2003 as part of its commitment to promote British Columbia’s environmentally progressive forest products and practices internationally.
FII invests in public-private activities that provide general benefits to the province’s forest sector and increase the value of the public forest resource. It also directly manages activities to promote the province’s sustainable forest management. It works with forest companies, trade associations, and research institutes.
