Conference To Be Held To Discuss The Future Of Hebridean Energy

A two day conference has been organised to discuss the future of the Western Isles' energy sector. Supported by North Scotland Industries Group, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar and SUSPLAN the conference will include a wide range of speakers and interest groups with an emphasis on renewable energy sources (RES).

Speakers include Scottish Energy Minister Jim Mather, Ron Peddie from AMEC and Matthew Seed from Voith Hydro Wavegen Limited.  SUSPLAN will make a presentation on their EU FP7 project which focuses on the medium and long term integration of renewable energy sources.The venue is An Lanntair in Stornoway, taking place on Tuesday the 29th and Wednesday the 30th of June.
